Fuquay-Varina Community Emergency Response Team
"Through Preparedness, We Serve."
The Fuquay-Varina Community Emergency Response Team (FV-CERT) is composed of volunteer citizens, who are trained in various levels of life safety and emergency preparedness skills, with a mission of enhancing disaster preparedness and emergency response for the citizens of Fuquay-Varina and surrounding areas.
The team supports local responders, the greater FV community, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) such as Rotary International, VOADs (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) such as the American Red Cross, and/or local and federal agencies during emergency incidents or public service events.
We accomplish this through participation in community awareness events, various training programs, emergency management drills/exercises, and by providing volunteer support to the local community when disaster strikes, or upon activation by our organizational sponsor, the Rotary Club of Fuquay-Varina Downtown, and/or by the Town of Fuquay-Varina in the event of an emergency or special event(s).
Regular Meetings are on the THIRD Thursday of each month, 6:30 PM at the Cleveland Drafthouse of FV.
Check the Upcoming Events Calendar for venue info.
The Rotary Club of Downtown Fuquay-Varina is proud to serve as the fiscal agent and organizational sponsor for
the Fuquay-Varina Community Emergency Response Team (FV-CERT).
